FEATURED EVENTS

HALLOWEEN
TRICK OR TREAT HOURS

Trick or Treat hours for New Whiteland will be Friday, October 31st from 6 - 9 p.m. Please turn on your porch light if you have treats to hand out. Drivers pay special attention to little ones running through the neighborhoods. We want everyone to be safe.

LEAF PICK UP

The leaf vac will be out each week picking up leaves from the 1st of October until the 1st of December or the first snowfall whichever comes first. Leaves need to be raked to the edge of your yard BUT SHOULD NOT BE RAKED INTO THE STREET. Placing your leaves in the street could result in an ordinance violation as the leaves will be washed into the storm sewers, blocking them and causing a violation of the storm water policy. There is no set schedule for leaf pick up. You may also mulch, compost or bag your leaves for heavy trash pick up.

MOSQUITO FOGGING CHANGES
New Whiteland will no longer be fogging for mosquitos. Beginning in 2014 mosquito complaints will be investigated on a case by case basis. The source of the problem will be identified and treated / corrected. Residents need to routinely check their property to be sure there is no standing water which can serve as a breeding ground for mosquitos.
